Here is a list of some of the questions we've been asked about the benefits and functionality of FAMCare®.
Q: I have a full caseload and don’t have time to always check in at the office. How can FAMCare help me?
A: FAMCare is completely web-based, so access to the system is available anywhere with an Internet connection and a secure login. You can access the system from your desktop, laptop and mobile PDA. In addition, the system never sleeps and is tirelessly running for you 24/7. Access to your information is never a problem.
Q: Can I customize my version of FAMCare?
A: Yes you can. As a FAMCare client - you can elect to purchase the FAMCare Advantage program, which is a fast and easy way to lease the FAMCare platform and have some forms and workflow built directly for you - at a substantially discounted price. OR you can upgrade to the FAMCare Enterprise edition - and can include any customization you desire. We have many modules available to add to your enterprise system, and we can tailor those modules to match your business rules and processes.
Q: What kind of reporting information do I receive?
A: Good question. There are a few different types of reports available to you from the start to help identify demographic information. Also included is an ad-hoc query tool at your disposal to allow you to create your own information extracts. Last, the team at GVT can tailor specific reports based on your own individual organizations needs.
Q: Can I set “triggers” in the system to alert me when activities are due or overdue?
A: FAMCare includes a powerful email action queue tool that allows you to set schedules on many different activities in the system by a client’s or program’s needs.
Q: I’m interested in learning more about your solution – do you have case studies or testimonials that I can read?
A: On the FAMCare website you can find a selection of case studies and video testimonials, both found under the “newsroom” area. By reading and viewing our case studies and reviews – you’ll be able to experience real-world application and best practices of how our clients have benefited from the FAMCare solution.
Q: What type of security and auditing features does the system have?
A: FAMCare includes state-of-the-art auditing features and security. Because of the nature of the data that is collected, child data, patient data – the system uses HIPAA compliant privacy protocols. In addition, any changes made to the system data is documented through an in-depth audit trail, so you always know when changes were made and by whom. All data is backed up regularly. GVT also goes through an in-depth SAS70 audit that allows us to provide an additional layer of data protection to our clients.
Q: What are the types of outcome reporting I can run?
A: Trends analysis to determine how your services are working. You can measure pre and post survey data to determine the level of recidivism. However it all starts with identifying what you really want to measure. Collecting good, solid data up-front that is tied to your vision – will determine the type of outcome reporting later.
