Michigan Department of Human Services (formerly the Family Independence Agency)
As the child welfare and juvenile justice agency, the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) designs policy and programs to address the needs of children and youth under the state's jurisdiction. The Juvenile Justice On-Line Technology system (JJOLT) went online in July 2001, less than ninety one days after purchasing its software system.  JJOLT continues to be our longest, most effective project to date.

Genesee County Court- Flint Michigan
Genesee wanted a more efficient way to track kids across agencies and systems and to effectively “log” and have available in real-time case notes and information. This in turn would allow for an improvement in caseload management and give the courts access to critical information when they needed it.  By sharing their data with agencies outside of their department and organization, Genesee has improved case worker productivity, and has incorporated a stronger communication plan, which has fostered faster decision making.
